After the midweek action, the focus turns to the weekend's
football. The Premier League betting
throws up a couple of interesting opportunities that could line the punters'
pockets. Blackpool controversially made
10 changes in their 3-2 defeat at Aston Villa, but that move may pay off for
Ian Holloway's men when they travel to West Ham on Saturday. Blackpool have shown the spirit and
commitment many expected, but they have also shown that they have enough skill
to trouble any side on their day. West
Ham in contrast have been disappointing by anyone's standards, but have been
priced up as much the stronger side.
Blackpool are definitely worth a wager at 4.0 with youwin.com to secure
their fourth away win of the season. The
other bet that stands out in the Premier League is Stoke at home to
Liverpool. The Reds have had something
of a revival, with Torres coming back to form, but Stoke are a tough outfit and
have recorded wins against Aston Villa, Blackburn and Birmingham at home this
season. The corresponding fixture for the
last two seasons has been a draw and 3.40 about the same result this weekend
looks great value.
Bundesliga betting for the weekend provides value of a
different kind. Three short priced home
teams that are fancied to justify favouritism are Dortmund, Mainz and
Hoffenheim. Dortmund look
champions-elect and Hoffenheim have been very solid at home this season. Mainz have stuttered recently but will have
too much for an equally out of sorts Hannover team and the recommendation is to combine these three in a treble. At the
youwin.com prices this is already a juicy 4.7 but the treble is available in
their enhanced multiple offering at 4.9, and that is too good to miss.
Elsewhere this weekend, the Grand Slam of Darts kicks off,
combining the best from the PDC and BDO.
Phil Taylor is a short price to win as always, but Simon Whitlock at
11.0 will give punters a good run for their money. On his game, he is one of the few in this
field that can take out The Power. With
the rugby union Autumn Internationals continuing and the climax to the Paris
Masters 1000 Series tennis, it's a top weekend for sports betting.
