As with everything in life, nothing is an absolute certainty (bar death and taxes of course). However, would one seriously consider betting against the McLaren Team and Lewis Hamilton not grabbing the spoils at the end of the F1 Season.

First the car, this has come along way since the start of last season and what McLaren actually finished up with in Abu Dhabi. The car now looks 'the business' and actually lives up to expectations. McLaren has also surged ahead of the competition with the development their controversial rear wing design and engine cover set-up - which I am pleased to say, have all been approved and  confirmed to be completely legal.

Lewis Hamilton has also come of age, with regards to experience and maturity. He was a gem last year for McLaren and always gave his best in every race (no matter how crap the car was - at the start of last season). Lewis now has the chance to take advantage of continuity within the team, and being involved in the development of the car. Plus, we can't forget the fact that he is back together with that Pussycat girl - which will un-doubtly relieve a lot of stress and keep him content and relaxed.

As for the competition, who can rival the 'winning combination'

Fernando Alonso is a good driver, but has just joined a new team and will require some time to settle in and become truly comfortable with the car and team. Also, we all know that Alonso and Felipe Massa are not entirely one big happy family. The two drivers have had their fair share of 'disagreements' in the past seasons; and no doubt this has the real potential of coming to the fore and being counter productive for the Ferrari Team.

Then we have Michael Schumacher, out of retirement and I believe, frankly out of his mind! Anyways, after that spell of being out of the unique F1 environment, he will definitely need some time to adjust and fit back into the groove.

The new Lotus team needs to bond and grow as well.

So the winning combination for this season should be McLaren and Lewis Hamilton!!!!!
