It was a day of refunds for Coral football punters today, as the Barking-based firm saw two of their three big match money back offers occur. Coral had promised to refund all first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast bets on the Old Firm Derby if there was a red card at Ibrox, refund stakes on all losing first goalscorer bets on Fulham v Manchester City if Sergio Aguero scored first, and the same if Wayne Rooney opened the scoring for Manchester United against Chelsea, and then watched as the first two duly happened.
"Charlie Mulgrew's sending-off prompted our first money-back offer of the day, and things got even better for our customers when Sergio Aguero opened the scoring at Craven Cottage. That meant it was an expensive day, but at least Chris Smalling's goal at Old Trafford prevented a clean sweep of refunds," said Coral's David Stevens.
