Video Poker has remained a favourite of gamblers for years. Combining elements of both poker and slots, video poker is one of the few games in the casino where you can actually find a positive expectation of winning. In contrast to "pure luck" games such as slots or roulette, video poker combines the elements of luck and strategy into a fast moving, fun game. How to Play

The objective of Video Poker is to receive the highest ranked five card poker hand possible.
Your account sum is automatically transferred into credits in the machine when the machine is selected and removed when you exit the game. You select the denomination in the slot. The selected denomination will be displayed on the machine.

Next, the player chooses the total amount that he or she wishes to wager; the cards will be dealt automatically. If the player uses the BET ONE button to select the number of wagered coins, the player must press the DEAL button to get the cards. The player may draw up to five new cards to improve his or her hand. To keep individual cards, click on the cards or on the HOLD button. Then when the player presses DEAL, the player will receive new cards in the positions of the cards that were not held.

The player's account sum is automatically removed when he or she exits the game and the money will be returned to their total credit balance. To the skilled player, however, the attraction is that some games offer an opportunity for a long term profit. Just as in a live poker game, there is a considerable amount of risk and luck involved in the short term, but it is a player's skill that will make the difference between a winner and a loser in the long run.

Video poker machines resemble the traditional slot machine in several ways, being housed in a similar metal cabinet with similar locks, most have a coin slot to accept your bet and a coin hopper that pays out your winnings. The most obvious difference is that on a reel slot the player wins when the symbols stop with a particular combination, such as three bars, while a video poker player wins when the final five cards form a recognizable poker hand, such as a straight.

As in live table poker, the cards are dealt from a standard 52 card deck (53 in Joker Wild games) that is well shuffled before each hand. After being dealt your initial five cards, you must decide which cards to hold and which to discard in an attempt to effect a winning poker hand (or to improve an existing winner) just as you would do in a live draw poker game. But there the similarity ends.

In video poker the house is banking the game, yet the machine is not trying to beat your hand. It's more a like a game of solitaire. Attempting to bluff or to "read" your opponent is pointless since there are no opponents.
The player can't get a "bad beat" in video poker. The player's straight can't lose to that flush on another player's machine. It will always win according to the payoff schedule. Some plays that may sometimes be correct in table poker become costly mistakes in video poker. One of the most common errors is holding onto cards that would be useful in straight poker but are in fact not particularly useful in video poker.

Conversely, many plays that are correct in video poker would be wrong in live table poker. In some cases, for example, it's correct to draw to an inside straight. It is primarily these characteristics that lure most players into making bad plays, thus making video poker a big winner for the casino, even on games that offer over 100% potential payback.

Solitaire is a popular and well-known one-player card game, which is available online as a casino game. The goal of Solitaire is to place all the cards in each suit in stacks of ascending rank. Stacks of cards with alternating colours in descending rank can be built in the bottom half of the screen as an intermediate step.

How to Play

There are three areas that one needs to be concerned with:

Building Stacks

The building stacks are at the bottom half of the screen. The leftmost stack has one card, with each subsequent stack having an additional card. Only the top card of each stack is face up. Removing the top card from a stack will turn over the card below it.

The Deck

The deck is located in the top left corner of the screen and contains the cards, which are not found in the source stacks. Three cards are initially removed and placed to the right of the deck with their face up. The top card of those three can be moved to another stack. Clicking on the deck will turn over the next three cards (if there are at least three cards remaining in the deck). If there are no more cards to go through in the deck, clicking on the outline of the deck will begin another pass through the deck. The number of passes through the deck is unlimited is three in most casinos. Suit Stacks. The suit stacks are located in the upper right corner and are initially unoccupied. An ace can be moved to its suit stack and then cards are added in ascending rank according to suit.

Game Play

A card at the top of a stack can be moved to its corresponding suit stack if the rank of the card at the top of that stack is one less than the card's rank (Kings have a rank of 13, queens 12, jacks 11 and an ace has a rank of 1).

A king can be moved to an empty space.

A card can be moved from the deck, a suit stack, or a building stack to a source stack if the card at the top of the destination stack has a different colour from and a value one more than the card.

Ordered cards at the bottom of a building stack can be moved to another building stack if there is a card in the ordered sequence which has a different colour and a rank one less than the card at the top of the destination stack.

Progressive machines are slot machines which are linked together to other machines by a network. A percentage of the money played on each machine is added to the big jackpot. Anyone hitting the winning line on any machines on the network wins the jackpot.

How to Play

To begin playing Slots, the player must deposit money into the machine. To do this, select a bill type (£5, £10, £20, £50, £100) at the right hand side of the Slots screen.

Once the player has made their selection, deposit the bill into the Slot machine by clicking on the insert bill area. One should see a bill move into the Slot machine. The player may then select which coin denomination you wish to play - £0.25, £1, £2, or £5.

Sic Bo

Sic Bo, meaning "dice pair" is an ancient Chinese gambling game of chance played with three dice.

The object of the game is to either select the individual numbers, or a combination of the numbers that will appear on the dice after they are rolled. There are single die numbers, two of a kind, three of a kind, or combinations of any two or three of the dice.

Game Play

The game starts when players place their chips on designated sections of their choice. Once the bets are in place, the dealer shakes and rolls on the table. The dealer announces the numeric value of each die and enters these values into the electronic device on the table. All winning patterns of the three dice are lit up on the layout, and the dealer proceeds with paying off the winners.

Betting

There are seven different types of bets in Sic Bo:

Dice Face - Betting that any one of the six dice sides will show. If that number comes up on any one of the dice, the player wins even money. If two of the dice show the selected face, the bet is paid off at 2-to-1. And if all three dice show the same face, the bet is paid at 3-to-1.

Two Faces - Betting that a combination of two particular numbers will appear. If the player bets, for example, that a 1 and a 6 will appear and it does, the house pays off at 5:1.

Red Dog Poker (sometimes known as ‘Between the Sheets’) is built around the concept of the "spread" or "distance" between two cards. Players are dealt two cards and place bets on whether they think a third card's value will fall between the original two (Aces are High Only).

If the two cards dealt to the player are consecutive cards (i.e. 7 & 8) then hand is considered a "push" due to there being no spread between the cards. If the two cards are identical, a third card is dealt. If this card matches the original two, the dealer pays out 11/1. If any other non-matching card is dealt, the hand is a push.

When there is spread between the two original cards, the spread or difference announced by the dealer and the player has the option of placing an additional bet (up to the amount of the original wager) that the third card will fall between the spread. When dealt, if the third card falls between the spread of the original two cards, the player wins the bet. If the third card matches either of the first two cards, or falls outside the spread, the player loses.

Pai Gow Poker is a casino gambling game which originates from Asia and has been combined with elements of 7-card stud. Originally played with Chinese dominos, it is now played as a poker style game with a 53-card deck (includes 1 Joker card). The joker is a wild card and can only be used as an ace or when completing a flush, a straight, or a straight flush. Seven cards are dealt to each player from which they must make two hands, one of two cards (low hand) and one of five cards (high hand).

The aim of the game is to beat the banker with both hands.

How to Play

Pai Gow can be played with up to seven players. When the players receive their cards, they set them into two hands of five and two cards.

The two-card hand is known as the low hand is placed in front of the five-card hand known as the high hand. Each five-card hand is ranked according to the pai gow poker hierarchy which varies only slightly from the standard poker hand ranking, the only real difference being that five aces, by adding a joker to four aces, beats a royal flush and is the highest hand in the game.

The ranking of the two-card hands is much simpler in that the hand is either a pair or it is not. The highest two-card hand is a pair of aces, and the rank of subsequent pairs falls in order from kings down to two's. The same ranking applies to high cards if a pair is not achieved.

It is the players' responsibility to ensure that their five-card hand has a higher ranking then their two-card hand. If the two-card hand turns out to be higher, the hand is said to be foul and the player automatically loses his or her bet.However when playing online the system usually prevents player from making any fouls.

When all the player's cards have been set, the dealer's cards are turned face up by the dealer which they then arrange them into a two-card hand and a five-card hand. The dealer's hands are then individually compared to the players' hands in a clockwise order, starting with the player who received the cards first.

To win, both of the player's hands must beat both of the dealer's hands. If the player's two-card hand and the dealer's two-card hand have equal poker value, they are said to be copies. The same applies if the five-card hands match in value as well. The dealer wins all copies. If one of the player's hands beats the dealer's, but the other does not, the result is a tie and no money changes hands.

Banking in Pai Gow

According to which casino one plays, the players don't necessarily always play against the dealer all the time; players can opt to become the banker. In this situation the house initially assumes the role of the bank with the dealer as the banker, then the position moves around from player to player. Player's are usually allowed to bank for one or two consecutive hands before passing the role on to the next player.

When a player becomes the banker they must play their hand according to the "house way", essentially how the dealer would play which is a fixed way of combining cards to provide the best opportunity to win. The role of banker can be declined by any player, and passed on to the next person in line. If rotating banker is used in the game the house makes its money by taking a 5% commission on each winning bet. The dealer collects the commission from each player that wins a hand, and from the total of the banker's winnings.

The game of Craps is an exciting game of chance, popular since the times of the Romans. The objective of Craps is to predict the outcome of a roll of the dice.

How to Play

Chips are stacked by denomination (£1, £5, £25, £100, £500) at the bottom of the screen above your alias. The player selects the amount to be wagered on a given roll(s).

The player's total bet is displayed in the Total Bet field to the right of his or her alias. The player can repeat his or her last bet by simply clicking on the appropriate tab.

Once the bet amount is selected, place the bet on the Craps table by clicking on a bet field. There are many types of bets available in Craps (both regular and "supplementary" ones after the first roll), all of which are summarized in the following two sections below. Once the player has placed a bet on the table, roll the dice and determine the outcome of the wager.

Types of Bets

Some bets are available only for the come out roll. A black marker is displayed in the top left-hand corner of the Craps table prior to a come out roll. Some bets are available only after a Point has been established. A Point is established if the come out roll is either 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. The number rolled, is called the Point and the next roll(s) is called the Point roll. Point rolls continue until the shooter rolls a 7 or the Point.
Once this happens, the sequence starts again with the next roll as a come out roll.

Pass Line Bets (Front Line)

This is the most popular bet at the Craps Table. A wager on the Pass Line wins if the first roll of the dice (the Come Out Roll - when no point has been established) is a 7 or 11 (known as "naturals") and loses if a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled first. If a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 is rolled, that number becomes the Point. Once the Point has been established, to win the bet the player (or shooter) must repeat the Point before a 7 is rolled. If the Shooter rolls a 7 before the Point is repeated, the Pass Line bet loses. A winning bet is paid even money.
Once the point has been established, this bet may not be removed or altered.

Don't Pass Bets (Black Line)

This bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet and can only be bet on a come out roll with no point established. This bet wins if the shooter rolls a 2 or 3 on the Come Out roll and loses immediately if a 7 or 11 is rolled on the Come Out. If a 12 is rolled, it's a tie and play continues. Once the point has been established, this bet wins if the shooter rolls a 7 before the point is repeated.

Come Bets

This bet is an extension of the pass line bet and may be wagered after the point has been established on the Come Out roll. The rules for this bet are the same as the Pass Line bet. The Come bet wins if a 7 or 11 is rolled and loses if a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled. Any other number becomes your come point and must be repeated before a 7 rolls in order to win even money. If the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 after a Come Bet has been placed, the dealer will move the Come Bet from the Come area to the corresponding box for that particular number. Just as with the Pass Line bet, this wager may not be reduced or removed until play is completed. A winning wager is paid even money.

Don't Come Bets

This bet is the opposite of the Come Bet. It may be wagered any time after the point has been established on the Come Out Roll. A first roll of 7 or 11 loses, 2 or 3 wins, and 12 is a standoff.
If a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 is rolled after a Don't Come Bet has been placed, the dealer will move the wager from the Don't Come area to the corresponding box for that particular number. The player wins even money if seven is rolled before the point is repeated.

Place Bet To Win

This is an additional bet that can be made once a point has been established. A Win wager can be made on the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. The wager wins if the place number is rolled before a 7; otherwise it loses. Pays 9 to 5 on 4 and 10, 7 to 5 on 5 and 9, and 7 to 6 on 6 and 8.

Place Bet To Lose

This is an additional bet that can be made at any time and is opposite of to Place Bet to Win. The wager wins if 7 is rolled before the place number; otherwise it loses. This pays 5 to 11 on 4 and 10, 5 to 8 on 5 and 9, and 4 to 5 on 6 and 8.

Hardway Bets

Whenever a shooter rolls doubles and the outcome is a 4, 6, 8 or 10, the shooter is said to have hit the number the "hard way," that is, by rolling doubles. If any of these same numbers are rolled and the outcome is not doubles, the shooter is said to have hit the number the "easy way".

Example: The shooter rolls a pair of 4's and has a Hard 8, or 8 The Hardway.

Another example: The shooter rolls a 6 and 2. This is an Easy 8, or 8 The Easy Way. A Hard 10 would be a pair of 5's, while 10 the "easy way" would be a 6 and 4 .

This bet is the opposite of the Come Bet. It may be wagered any time after the point has been established on the Come Out Roll. A first roll of 7 or 11 loses, 2 or 3 wins, and 12 is a standoff.

The game of Craps is an exciting game of chance, popular since the times of the Romans. The objective of Craps is to predict the outcome of a roll of the dice.

How to Play

The player's total bet is displayed in the Total Bet field to the right of his or her alias. The player can repeat his or her last bet by simply clicking on the appropriate tab.

Once the bet amount is selected, place the bet on the Craps table by clicking on a bet field. There are many types of bets available in Craps (both regular and "supplementary" ones after the first roll), all of which are summarized in the following two sections below. Casino Stud Poker

Casino Stud is poker with a 'twist', where the players are trying to get a higher hand than the dealer's hand. Therefore, the players are not competing against each other, as per regular poker.

Casino Stud poker is a variation of poker and is also known as Caribbean Stud poker. As the name suggests it originates from the Caribbean islands. The game is similar to standard table poker.

Casino Stud is played at a table very much like a blackjack table. The attraction of the game is the high pay-off if you catch a good hand which qualifies. A straight flush which qualifies pays 50-1 and even a lowly two pairs pays double.

The advantage to playing Caribbean poker is there is the potential of a great payoff, which is why people take their chances and play despite the small odds of winning.

Basic Play

Each player has two circles on the lay-out in front of him, marked raise and ante. The player places the stake he or she wants to play in the circle marked ante. Minimum and maximum bets are displayed at each table.

The dealer then deals five cards to each player and five cards to himself, turning the top card face up. This gives players a clue as to the strength of the dealer's hand.

After the cards are dealt, each player picks up his hand and takes a look to see what he or she has got. This is the moment of decision!

The player then has two choices:

1. If the player believes his or her hand is a winner and fancy his or her chances, the player can raise. The player lays the cards face down in the raise box and places double their initial stake on top of his or her cards. So, for example, if the player's first bet was £10, the raise is £20, making a total of £30 bet.

2. If the player believes his or her hand is likely to be a loser, the player can surrender the initial stake right away, by pushing his or her cards towards the dealer.

When all the players have decided whether to raise or fold, the dealer turns his other four cards over. The rule of Casino Stud is that the dealer must have an ace-king or better for his hand to qualify.

If the dealer's hand does not qualify, the dealer simply pays out all the players still in the hand their ante stake, at even money, without comparing their actual hands.

If the dealer's hand qualifies, he then turns the players' hands over, one by one. If the player's hand beats the dealer's hand, the player wins! If the dealers' hand beats the player's hand, then the player loses. Ties are a stand off, but all five cards count.

Note that the player can raise even on a weak hand, to try and win the ante, because if the dealer does not have a qualifying hand, he folds immediately and pays all the antes. The player can play only one hand at a time at Casino Stud; and conferring between players is not allowed.

Online Blackjack is arguably the most popular online casino table game. The object is to get closer to 21 (Blackjack) than the dealer without getting over 21 (known as going Bust). The casual punter has a better chance of beating the house at Blackjack than nearly any other game.

Basic Blackjack Rules

In Blackjack, the player and the dealer are dealt two cards to start. The objective of online blackjack is to accumulate cards that add up closer to 21 than that of the dealer's cards, without going over 21.
Cards are worth their face value with the exception of Kings, Queens, and Jacks which are each worth 10 and Aces which are worth either 1 or 11. If the value of your hand is closer to 21 than that of the dealer you win. If the value of the dealer's hand is higher than yours you lose. If the hands are of equal value the deal is a push and your money is returned. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts.

Most Online Blackjack is played with eight fifty-two card decks. After each game has been played, the used cards are shuffled back into the deck. All face cards are valued at ten and the cards from 2-10 are valued as indicated.

Aces can be valued at either one or eleven; if counting the ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the ace is automatically counted as one instead. The player does not need to specify which value the Ace has as it's always assumed to have the value that makes the best hand. The value of a hand is the sum of the values of the individual cards. For example, a hand containing a Jack, 3, and 4 has a value of 17.

The player begins a hand of online blackjack by placing a bet on the table. The player will then receive two cards face up. The dealer will receive one card face up and one face down. Once the player has been dealt the two cards (and based on the nature of these cards) the player can do the following:

Hit

To requests another card. The player can request a hit as many times as one likes, but if the player's total goes over twenty-one, the player will "bust" and lose the hand.

Stand

A requests from the player to receive no more cards. The hand as it currently stands will be judged against the dealers.

Split

If the player have two cards of the same denomination, a Split button will appear. The player can split your cards into two hands and play each hand separately. The player's original bet will be duplicated for the new hand.

Each hand will be played out as usual except when splitting Aces, where only one additional card per hand is dealt. The split option can only be used once per hand -- the player cannot split part of a split hand. Any winning 21 obtained after splitting a pair is paid 1-to-1.

Double Down

If the player chooses this option, two things will happen: the player will get exactly one more card, the player's turn will end, and the player's bet will be doubled.

Insurance

Whenever the dealer's up-card is an Ace, the player has an option of taking insurance. The player may opt to take insurance by clicking on the Insurance button. If the player does not wish to take insurance, the player simply clicks on the Pass button to proceed with the rest of the hand. If the player believes that the dealer's down-card is a 10 ranking card, then the player is permitted to place a side bet of half the original wager as insurance.

If the dealer does have a 10 ranking card, the player is immediately paid 2-to-1 on the insurance bet, but the original wager is lost unless the player too has a blackjack and pushes with the dealer. Here the player is simply betting that the dealer's unseen card is a 10 valued card.

The Double Down and Split options will only be available immediately after you receive your first two cards. If the dealer has an Ace showing, you will be offered a chance to buy Insurance for half of the amount you bet. When you buy insurance you are, in effect, making a second bet. You are betting that the dealer has a natural blackjack. If the dealer does have a natural blackjack (in other words, his down card is a ten or a face card), you will collect a payoff of 2 to 1 on your insurance.

Stand

A requests from the player to receive no more cards. The hand as it currently stands will be judged against the dealers.

Baccarat is a casino game unlike any other. It is simple to master, fun and easy to play, but still regarded as being one of the most sophisticated games in any casino.
The goal of this game is to draw a two or three card hand with a value closer to 9 than the banker's hand.

The Value of the Cards

Numbered cards have their face value.
10, Jack, Queen and King count as 0.
Ace counts as 1.
If the value of your cards is more than ten, you subtract 10. So a 8-9 hand totals 7 (after subtracting 10 from 17)

How To Play

Baccarat is a card game that is dealt from a shoe that holds 6 or 8 decks of cards. Two hands are dealt by the house dealer, the "banker" hand and the "player" hand. Before the hands are dealt, bets may be placed on the banker hand, on the player hand, or on a tie. Summary

Some like the simplicity, some like the really low house edge, and others play just for the sense of style. The one peculiar thing about Baccarat is that one will hear it referred to as being a highly profitable game for the casino. Then, from another player, one would hear that it's one of the top profit makers for players. I our opinion, this results from a combination of a very low house edge, and the ability the casinos have in attracting high rollers to the Baccarat room.

Always seemingly just out of reach, Baccarat is kept behind the velvet rope in casinos to make the high rollers feel as though they have their own exclusive game which the common John Public can't play. Although casinos may make it seem to be a game reserved only for the gambling elite, online there is no such snobbery. Baccarat is in fact one of the easiest games to master and is easily accessible on the web.
